What is EasyPill Giver and How Does It Work?

EasyPill Giver is a palatable, mouldable putty designed to make giving tablets and capsules to cats and dogs easier. The soft putty can be shaped around medication, helping to disguise the tablet or capsule as a tasty treat and making it easier for your pet to take their medicine. This can be particularly useful for pets that are difficult to medicate, refuse tablets or quickly detect medication hidden in their usual food.

EasyPill is available in formulations designed specifically for cats and dogs. The EasyPill Cat formulation is tailored to the preferences of cats, while the EasyPill Dog formulation is designed for dogs, making it important to choose the version suitable for your pet. The amount of EasyPill you need will depend on the size of the tablet or capsule; use enough putty to completely enclose the medication while keeping the resulting piece small enough for your pet to comfortably eat — treat-size!

Tips for Introducing EasyPill to Your Pet

If your pet is unfamiliar with EasyPill, it can help to introduce the putty before using it to administer medication. Start by offering a small piece without any medicine and allow your pet to investigate and eat it. Once your pet accepts the putty as a treat, you can try enclosing the medication inside a small piece. Introducing EasyPill gradually can help your pet become familiar with its taste and texture, making medication time a more positive experience.

How to Give Your Dog or Cat a Tablet or Capsule Using EasyPill

    1. Tear off enough putty to cover the tablet or capsule

    2. Place the tablet or capsule inside

    3. Gently mould the putty around the medication until it is completely enclosed

    4. Offer it to your pet as a treat

What is the Difference Between EasyPill Dog & EasyPill Cat?

The main difference between EasyPill Cat and EasyPill Dog is that each formulation has been specifically adapted to suit the taste preferences and needs of the respective species. Both use a pliable, highly palatable putty designed to help make administering tablets easier, but the dog formulation is specifically adapted to the canine palette, while the cat formulation is adapted to feline taste preferences.

Can I use EasyPill Giver with Any Medication?

Before using EasyPill Giver, check the instructions for your pet's medication or ask your vet whether it can be given with food or a treat. EasyPill Giver should only be used to disguise medication when doing so is compatible with the medication's administration instructions. If your vet has given specific instructions for administering your pet’s medication, always follow their advice and check with them if you are unsure whether EasyPill Giver is suitable.

How Long Does EasyPill Last After Opening?
